Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner. Ask questions of guests and make personal connections to make them feel they are welcome and valuedSchedule Front of House (FOH) personnel according to labor guidelines established by the Restaurant ManagerEnsure the correct appearance, cleanliness, and safety of FOH areas, equipment, and fixturesComplete monthly inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning, and issuing for beer and liquorMaintain high levels of guest satisfactionMaintain a presence on the floor to help drive staff engagement and create the ultimate guest experienceConduct table touches to 100% of tables servicedAssist in service of guests as neededGenerate, carry-out, and follow-through on all service recovery effortsDevelop and implement side work, opening, and closing procedures that adhere to SI/Big Es standards and safety protocolsLead, Manage, and Hold Team Members accountable to the standards of employment and job performance set by the core values of Suburban Inns and Big Es. Discipline Team Members as needed, according to Suburban Inns policiesEnsure all FOH Team Members are TIPS and/or ServSafe certifiedMonitor FOH Team Member hours to ensure compliance with posted schedulesReview and approve payroll for FOH Team Members, ensuring that hours and payable items input are accurate and adhere to the appropriate labor lawsMake cuts at the end of the night that align with our guest service standards and labor cost goalsPrepare reports and schedules and perform other administrative dutiesEnsure that the dining room areas are secure at the end of the business dayMaintain positive, open communication with the Back of HouseAttend scheduled staff meetingsFollow all Suburban Inns ProcessesExhibit regular and recurrent attendance recordsOther duties as requested by managementPosition RequirementsMinimum Knowledge: Requires ability to interpret / extract information and / or perform arithmetic functions. May require typing, record keeping, or word processing. Good communication skillsFormal Education and Job-Related Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent related experience required. One-year job-related experienceLicense, Registration, and/or Certification Required: ServSafe Food, CPR, and TIPS Certifications (May be completed upon hire)Work Schedule: Work regularly requires or varies between day, evening, night, holiday, and/or weekend assignments. Schedule varies according to business demands and needs

Required Travel: Position may require travel to other Suburban Inns properties, client locations, or other locations

Uniform: Professional attire according to Suburban Inns guidelines. Shoes need to be closed-toed and non-slip.Appearance: Hair must be kept well-groomed. All facial piercings and tattoos that are not covered by a work uniform must be approved by management. Any tattoo that is deemed offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature are not permitted and must remain covered or concealed at all times. This policy will be administered by the positions supervisor, without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, height, weight, genetics, familial status, veteran status, and other protected characteristics.
