Rooms: 700 bedsPatient Age Group Required: Adults and Geriatrics Peds (preferred)Therapist will assist in pediatrics and with Peds ER patients so must be comfortable with all ages, doe not have to have specific Pediatric hospital experience.Helpful to have recent high risk delivery experience.Must be comfortable with basic pediatrics Resp Therapy care.7 adult ICUs with 16 beds each, pediatric and adult acute care. Treats and educates all patient populations with diagnoses including but not limited to; asthma, COPD, emphysema, pneumonia, and non-pulmonary diagnoses. Performs both general and critical care to include but not limited to; medication delivery, bronchopulmonary hygiene and hyperinflation therapy, initiation, management, and weaning of invasive and non-invasive ventilation, airway management and suction, cuff and ETCO2 monitoring, intubation assist, extubation, and maintenance of indwelling lines. Responds to rapid responses and emergency codes, and performs CPR. Blood gas sampling and analysis, specimen collection and spontaneous breathing parameters.preferred experience - Changing tubing and bags for invasive lines/arterial lines is RRT s responsibility on Toledo and Bay Park campuses. If not related, candidates can work on the same unit. If related, they can be submitted to the same facility but not the same unit.No block scheduling across all units most units already have their schedules made. If the traveler calls out sick, they can make up the shift. It will be important for the traveler to work with their unit leader for any scheduling concerns.Please confirm prior to submitting that the traveler will complete a basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam is required for Float Pool, Cath Lab, ER, GI Lab, ICU, CC, CICU, CVICU, IMC, IMU, L&D (only if going to Toledo), Med Surg, PACU, Pediatrics, PICU, PCU, Tele, and Step Down. Traveler has 2 chances to pass. They will need to go through clinician remediation if they do not pass their first attempt.For Ohio facilities ONLY: Fingerprinting required for these units: Patient transport, Pediatric, Peds Psych, Psych/Behavioral Health, Childrens - all specialties (clinical non-clinical):Ohio FBI/BCI results take 4-6 weeks to result.
