Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13-week assignment Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: None specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN license Certifications: BLS, ALS, EKG Interpretation Must-Have: - Experience with post-op CABGs, vascular, and general cardiac patient population - Knowledge of cardiac drips/titrations and electrolyte replacement - Experience with management of chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, and TR bands Job Description: - Patient ratio of 3:1/4:1 - Unit staffed with secretaries Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM - Nurse extern availability at times - Utilize Meditech for documentation - Work every other weekend; 36-hour workweek with a commitment to fill scheduling needs - Expected to float as needed - Focus on patient experience, particularly regarding pain, communication, and responsiveness - Scrubs required in galaxy blue, red, or black - Enjoy a mixture of experienced and new nurses with impeccable teamwork Please note: Specific unit guidelines and policies will be provided on orientation day.
