Position Summary:

As Director of Sourcing, Services you will manage and lead the North American Service Sourcing team to develop and implement sourcing strategies for US/CAN services operational areas. This includes Independent Service Suppliers (Maintenance, Cranes, Inspection & Repair Companies, etc.) as well as spare parts and components needed during the O&M phase of installed wind turbines. The role involves coordinating with the Services Operational area to ensure early detection of demand, driving tendering activities, monitoring market conditions, and developing alternative sourcing strategies. The role also involves driving process development, coordinating and aligning US sourcing initiatives with the Global Sourcing Team, and communicating relevant information to the Global Sourcing Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

Manage, lead and develop the N.A. Service Sourcing team to maximize performance; create and build team environment while providing direction, knowledge and support with prioritization of work and allocation of department resources as needed.

Responsible for development and implementation of sourcing strategy for US/CAN services operational area (Maintenance ISPs, Cranes, Inspection & Repair Companies…) assuring a supplier base that provides best cost, quality and production capacity.

Coordination with Services Operational area to ensure early detection of demand.

Lead and drive tendering activities including, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and preparing contract award decisions for O&M wind projects, ensuring best value and compliance with the objectives and principles.

Monitor market conditions (Supplier base, Capacities, Costs structures, Product Development, Logistics-import constraints…) to develop alternative sourcing strategies to ensure meeting ongoing business needs and goals.

Proactively drive process development (streamlining and aligning) to identify scope and lead improvement projects.

Responsible for coordination and alignment of US sourcing initiatives with Global Sourcing Team.

As a member of Global Sourcing Leadership Team: communicate US/CAN relevant issues and information that need global sourcing support to be executed; align on global strategies applying to N.A., and ensure that global processes, projects and strategies are implemented in the US organization related to Global Sourcing processes, optimizing data collection and flow across the organization.

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree required, Masters (Preferred)

10 years procurement experience focusing on indirect/service providers is a bonus. Preferable in wind and other industries with field O&M operations (solar, oil & gas…).

5 years in a managerial position.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in O&M procurement projects, preferably in renewables, oil and gas, or similar complex industries.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.

Experience in leading and managing teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally to project sites and on business as required with the ability to obtain a passport.

Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
