:Complex Liability ConsultantWhat can you expect?We are looking for an insurance liability claims consultant to provide risk management solutions to meet client needs.

This consultant will implement strategic plans to optimize clients’ insurance recovery for mass tort and complex claims; toxic tort; environmental; pollution; asbestos; sexual assault; concussion and other potentially high dollar value claims.

This requires an understanding of complicated insurance programs for corporate clients, industry specific knowledge. Experience with insurance archaeology and search processes for legacy policies a plus.

Provides analysis and recommendations relative to insurance coverage for clients facing complex liabilities.

Oversees notice and tender communications to insurers and facilitates communications regarding the claim between the policyholder and its insurers, including review of coverage position letters and information requests.

Reviews policy documents and identifies pertinent policy provisions for input into policy management system and creation of coverage charts.

Determines the adequacy of cost share agreements and evaluates buyout offers.

Negotiates the resolution of insurance coverage and loss allocation issues on behalf of clients.

Complies with company policy and procedures for maintaining correspondence, timekeeping, expense reporting and billing.

Uses facilitative and diagnostic skills to assist clients in the articulation of complex problems.

Researching and performing insurance archaeology for legacy policies.

Actively uncovers concerns or issues that may be unclear to the client.

Develops the project requirements and work plans within a practice or technical area.

Matches products and services in his/her own specialty to client’s key needs.

Respect and maintain client confidentiality.

What you need to have:5-10+ years of relevant experience at an insurer, third party administrator, insurance archaeology firm, and/or law firm.

Experience in long tail and emerging coverage issues and/or insurance archaeology.

Bachelor degree or equivalent.
