FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community we serve in!Position Summary:This position reports to the CEO and serves as a part of the executive team. The position supervises all fundraising, philanthropy, and development staff. Within the agency, the position has primary relationships with the financial operation, senior management staff, and program staff. Outside the agency, the position coordinates with the governing board, fundraising volunteers, donors, and funding sources. Responsibilities include:Fostering a culture of philanthropy;Ensuring that the organization’s corporate culture, systems, and procedures support development activities and vice versa;Leading staff and volunteers to institutionalize philanthropy and development within the organization;Planning, coordinating, and implementing strategies to develop and retain donors and contributions to support the organization;Ensuring the development and maintenance of appropriate systems to support development including but not limited to volunteer and donor management, research and cultivation, gift processing, and recognition;Maintaining accountability and compliance standards for donors and funding sources.Qualifications:An advanced degree preferred from an accredited college or university.A minimum of 5 years leading the development activities of a mid to large size non-profit organization.A proven track record of being able to raise funds in the State of Rhode Island.Excellent writing and communications skills.Available to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings and weekends, as needed.Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.We offer our employees a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and work-life benefits.About Us: Dynamic and innovative, Family Service of RI (FSRI) is a statewide organization with a 130-year track record of success in improving the health and well-being of children and families all across our state.
