Job Purpose:This role will support the development of healthcare & mainstream retail marketing tactical initiatives that drive brand awareness, sales, and profitability for the organization. It will partner with internal stakeholders, account merchants, and retail media networks to assist in the development of activation plans that achieve marketing, sales, & brand objectives as outlined during the annual planning process. The role will support both digital and in-store efforts to deliver omnichannel campaigns & activations that meet the shopper along their path-to-purchase and ultimately drive sales conversion.

Minimum applicable experience (years):2-5 years shopper marketing, commerce marketing or retail marketing experience1-3 years working directly with retailers in a customer-facing roleRequired nature of experience:Development and execution of successful retail marketing campaigns and initiatives.Leveraging various marketing channels to drive foot traffic, sales, and brand awareness in retail settings.Project management skills of multiple projects, simultaneously.Coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver integrated omni-marketing executions on time and within budget.Managing creative assets & copy for retailer product detail pages (PDPs) based on each retailer’s unique asset requirements.International team collaboration - comfortable coordinating tasks with our South African HQ and their respective time zone - this may require early meetings to accomplish select creative tasks.Skills and Knowledge (essential):Creativity and innovation in developing retail marketing tactics that support key shopper objectives. Proven ability to think outside the box and propose innovative solutions to drive business growth and enhance the retail shopping experience, both online and in-store.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs. Demonstrated resilience and flexibility in coordinating marketing projects and initiatives in dynamic retail settings.Familiarity with retail media networks - generally need to understand how available tactics achieve select marketing results ex: Walmart Connect, Roundel Media Studios.Omni-channel activation familiarity of the marketing levers to drive full-funnel shopper activation.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external retail partners. Proficiency in crafting clear and compelling marketing messages tailored to different retail audiences. Comfortable presenting to retail media network partners and merchants, in collaboration with key account managers (KAMS).Analytical mindset with proficiency in analyzing marketing data and metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI. Experience in using data insights to optimize tactical media plans and improve performance.Other:Preference would be for the candidate to be based in EST or CST time zones.

Account Marketing Tactical Plan Development 40%:Play an active role in developing tactical retail media and print plans that support the overall retail marketing strategy for the assigned channels: mainstream retail and healthcare.Sit in on account meetings, with the relevant sales lead, and determine/document marketing support needs.Determine and monitor account creative submission timelines that drive the internal creative briefing process.Support the implementation of new item product detail page (PDP) setups as well as assist in the optimizations of the digital shelf.Assist in the syndication of enhanced content based on the needs of the retailer, target shopper, and general marketing objectives.Coordinate with the design team & catalog new assets that are needed for both online and in-store executions.Develop marketing and sales sell decks in collaboration with cross-functional partners to aid in launching new innovation and marketing campaigns.Assist with quarterly & annual planning for select accounts, which will include budgeting, tactical plan development, deck development, and historical performance recaps.Project & Creative Management 40%:Support the development of tactical creative briefs in support of digital and print campaigns. Clearly outline marketing objectives and required creative deliverables.Assist with the management of creative timelines to ensure that all copy and creative assets are received on time to meet submission deadlines with account partners. Follow up with creative and communication teams as well as approving stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.Capture creative feedback from key stakeholders and communicate necessary changes to internal creative teams.Organize assets that are shared externally with account partners based on asset requirements.Regularly update account product detail pages and marketing ad specification requirements that the creative team leverages when resizing or developing new assets.Help develop self-serve creative offerings for the sales team in an effort to expedite creative requests & streamline processes.Reporting & Analytics 20%:Assist in cataloging post-campaign performance as part of the monthly marketing performance review process.Request post-performance campaign results from select retailer partners that do not have an analytics self-serve option.Partner with our B2C media team to collect performance data, key trends, and best practices that can be applied to the retail & healthcare businesses.Assist with the monthly budget actualization process to ensure that all retail media invoices are cataloged and updated with accounting.This job description is not a definitive or exhaustive list of responsibilities and is subject to change depending on changing business requirements.
