In this position, you will be responsible for leading environmental planning tasks and projects including Environmental Impact Statements, comprehensive plans, permitting, and more across a variety of areas including solid waste, transportation, and restoration. You will also be collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality deliverables and stellar client service.In this role we will count on you to:Effectively communicate with staff, clients, and teaming partners and act as a trusted professionalPrepare and manage NEPA and SEPA documents and supporting plansApply critical thinking and problem-solving to develop environmental planning documents potentially including comprehensive plans, land use plans, and climate adaptation and resiliency plansDraft regulatory compliance reports and technical memosSupport permitting efforts for natural resources and the built environmentAssist in the development and refinement of proposalsResearch and apply jurisdictional requirements, codes, and policiesAdhere to and drive QA/QC processes and programsInterface with clients, attend project and public meetings, and participate in interviewsDevelop community engagement plansOther duties you will be responsible for:

Education, Experience, & Licensure/Certifications8+ years of experience in environmental planningBachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental studies, urban planning, or similar area of focusKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong project management, business development, and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort speaking at public meetings and conveying complex information understandably to different audiencesStrong interpersonal and conflict-management skillsCreative and dogged approach to problem-solvingImpeccable follow-throughAbility to work independently and discern when collaboration with others is criticalResourcefulness and willingness to mine existing resources for necessary informationIntermediate to expert with MS365, particularly SharePoint, Word, and ExcelIn-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and practicesPreferred Qualifications

Experience with public and private clientsExperience in the consulting industryWe are proud to support our employee-owners by offering the following compensation and benefits:This position is salaried and exempt from overtime; the annual salary range is $103,592 – $146,028

Salary is determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, type/relevance of experience, skillset, and fit for the role
