Our client is seeking an Senior Cost Accountant to oversee cost accounting functions of inventory, cost of goods sold, and detailed financial analysis. Responsibilities: Manage the accounting and reconciliation of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods. Ensure inventory values are accurate and properly reflected in the general ledger. Analyze and report on manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability. Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly cost reports, including COGS, and provide insights into trends, cost drivers, and potential efficiencies. Oversee the calculation and reporting of COGS for apparel products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Maintain and audit the Bill of Materials for each product, ensuring that all production inputs are properly accounted for and reflect actual costs. Lead month-end and year-end close processes related to cost accounting, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and generating necessary financial statements. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5 years of cost accounting experience Experience managing Bill of Materials (BOM) and conducting variance analysis.
