Summary

The Division of Hospital Medicine of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time faculty position at CHRISTUS Childrens. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The rank of the appointment will be determined by the candidates credentials and experience.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include the provision of hospital care to pediatric inpatients, including overnight coverage; consultations and co-management of sub-specialty, surgical, and psychiatric pediatric patients; pediatric sedation; teaching fellows, residents, medical students, and staff; active involvement in inpatient quality, safety, and administrative activities; and protected time for academic/scholarly activities in clinical informatics, outcomes research, child advocacy, education, or quality improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

MD/DO degree.

Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same).

Board certification in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (or eligible for same).
