Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a seasoned
Electrical Engineer
to join our team on a part-time basis! In this role, you will support architectural and planning Capital Improvement Projects at the Los Angeles World Airports. The position is estimated to be 20 hours a week but could be less or more depending on the project workload.
What You'll Be Doing:
Coordinate closely with LAWA and LADWP personnel to plan, design, construct, monitor, maintain, and manage the electrical infrastructure at LAX.
Evaluate the historical & current electrical demands at LAX, and forecast future needs & demands.
Provide technical reviews of design & construction documents, requests for information (RFI), change requests, and other technical documents from designers, contractors, and project managers.
Participate in coordination meetings with staff and executive leadership from LAWA and LADWP.
Develop high-quality technical reports to advise & assist LAWA with the use of innovative technologies to enhance the resiliency, sustainability, and efficiency of our electrical systems.
Work alongside a multi-disciplined team of planners, architects, engineers, construction managers, business managers, and other professionals in a collaborative environment.
Develop tools, templates, and standards to innovate and improve our processes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or related field (Master’s Preferred).
20+ Years of Professional Experience, preferably on large electrical infrastructure programs with direct involvement from LADWP.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Extensive experience with the planning, design, procurement, construction, and activation of major capital programs, preferably at major transportation hubs (such as airports).
Extensive experience with stakeholder engagement, preferably with electrical utility providers (such as LADWP) and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (such as LADBS).
Extensive experience with large utilities & infrastructure programs (including electrical generation, transmission, distribution, and customer services), preferably in the Los Angeles area.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills in a collaborative setting.

Salary Range:
$165,000.00 - $310,000.00
