Solid Ground does both by combining direct services with advocacy to meet basic needs, nurture success, and spread change. Through services, people gain stability and build skills that equip them to move forward in their lives. Through advocacy, Solid Ground works toward ending racism and other oppressions embedded in our institutions, policies, and culture that prevent people from thriving. The organization brings the voices of people experiencing poverty into the political process, furthering social justice and supporting the entire community to reach its potential.Solid Ground now seeks a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
who will work closely with the board and senior leadership team to develop and champion the future vision and strategy for Solid Ground, aligning programs, operations, and resources around this shared vision. The CEO will sharpen the organization’s focus and connect its diverse and innovative programs in a holistic strategy to address both the immediate and long-term issues related to poverty. They will provide organizational leadership by nurturing a values-centered culture rooted in trust, cultivating a culture of excellence and accountability, and working toward dismantling white supremacy within the workplace. They will support operational excellence through innovative programs, organizational and financial planning, and strengthened board governance. The CEO will ensure consistent public and private revenue generation and build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Seattle business, government, and nonprofit communities. Managing a $31M budget, 270+ staff members, and departments serving more than 76,000 participants in 2019, the CEO should have a proven track record of successful organizational management by leveraging the unique strengths of the people in an organization to successfully create and implement a bold strategic vision.Minimum Requirements:A minimum of 15-year progressive management experience within the social services sector, preferably human services, social justice, or non-profit organization.Experience leading strategic planning processes that align programs and resources.A proven leader committed to advancing anti-racism initiatives that address the inequalities disproportionately affecting those furthest from opportunity.Experience as a proven fundraiser who understands the complexity of both private and public funding relationships.A values-centered, positive, supportive leader who is committed to fostering a transparent, accountable, and mission-focused work environment.For a full position description, please click here.This search is led by Katherine Jacobs, Carolyn Ho, and Catherine Seneviratne of the search firm NPAG.
