Public Health Nutritionists are responsible for planning, directing and carrying out the nutrition education program and providing nutrition services to the public. License Required:
Possession of a valid California motor vehicle operator's license. Out of state valid motor vehicle operator's license will be accepted during the application process
Certification required:
A valid Certificate as a Registered Dietitian, issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Experience:
One (1) year of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) experience performing community based nutrition work.
Substitution for Experience:
Possession of a Master's Degree in nutrition, public health nutrition or a closely related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.
