The Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy is the nonprofit partner of the National Park Service overseeing the Golden Gate National Recreation Area — 84,000 acres spanning the San Francisco Bay Area, including sites like Muir Woods, Fort Point, Ocean Beach, Crissy Field, and Alcatraz Island. The Parks Conservancy is a membership organization created to preserve the Golden Gate national parks, enhance the experiences of park visitors, and build a community dedicated to conserving the parks for the future.ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Development Officer (CDO) has the exciting opportunity to join the organization during a time of reflection and transformation. Building on the momentum of a new Strategic Direction, as well as deep and evolving commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion – reflected in our newly adopted organizational values, the CDO will lead the Development & Membership team, and its impact on our organization. The Parks Conservancy galvanizes community vision and generosity to benefit the park.This work will require a leader who is motivated by the Park’s Conservancy’s mission and vision. The CDO will bring significant expertise - including system and process design and implementation, alongside creative and strategic visioning to this expanding organization. They will be part of the Executive Management Team, helping to set strategy and ensure the organization delivers on our goals.COMPENSATION
