They partner with the Show Manager, and the Production Designer. Typically, they will join a Project following Blue-Sky, and will stay with that Project through Close-Out.This role will work with the Executive Show Technical Production Manager.What You Will DoResponsibilities include Technical Design oversight of Show systems (including, Show Mechanical, Special Effects, Show Control, Show Lighting, AV, Rigging, Show Sets, Interactives [physical and electronic], Show Programming, and guest digital experiences). Their specific oversight includes, however, is not limited to; systems integration, media integration, compliance, coordination with our facility and Ride Design teams, schedule and budget oversight, Hazard Analysis, design assurance, maintainability, installation oversight, safety and testing plans, turnover to Operations, and final closeout documentation.The individual will be required to provide oversight and management to both Company employees, consultants, and vendors.Required Qualifications & SkillsBackground in Theme Park AttractionsPractical understanding of integrated primary and subordinate Show Systems (AV, Show Control, Show Mechanical, Lighting, Special Effects, Scenery…)Have an understanding of Theatrical RiggingAbility to represent technical subject areas in design, fabrication, and integrationBasic understanding of engineering principles (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural)Prior experience leading engineering and technical teamsHistory of coordinating with Vendors and ConsultantsStrong scheduling, sequencing and time management skillsAbility to travel both domestically and internationally.Education5 years experience in either the Entertainment or applicable industries.Education accreditation in the Arts, or Sciences subject areas preferred.Additional InformationDisney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
