Position Summary

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will oversee and manage engineering and technical tasks throughout the project's lifecycle. You will provide critical support to the project management team and ensure that all engineering aspects of the project are designed, executed, and delivered according to plan. This role involves collaboration with various teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance, efficiency, and safety across the project site. You will play a critical role in the overall leadership and successful and timely delivery of a complex multimillion-dollar, complex, heavy-civil project from execution to completion.

Responsibilities

Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.Direct oversight of assigned field engineersProvide technical support for appropriate Field SuperintendentReceive, review and submit shop drawingsAddress relative correspondence and review with the Project ManagerProvide delivery support for the Field SuperintendentsProvide technical review of work in the field to specification requirementsAdvise Project Manager of any potential change orders or claimsCoordinate and monitor long lead items that are schedule significantProvide, as necessary, continued reevaluation of means and methodsDirect oversight of technical drawings for structural steel, concrete work, rebarConduct field visits with QA/QC to manufacturers of long lead items as determined by the schedule requirementsCoordinate and take the lead responsibility during the submittal process

Qualifications

Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.Proficient -computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, BlueBeam. Preferred experience utilizing HCSS HeavyJob, Vista, CAD, P6.Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in heavy civil construction.Comprehensive understanding of civil construction industry practices and standards.Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.Must have a valid Driver’s License.
