CYC envisions empowering young people to reach their highest potential as individuals and to develop a positive self/cultural identity.Title: Program Coordinator (MYEEP)Salary: $26.00-$28.00 per hour plus benefitsReports to: Program DirectorStatus: Full-time; Non-ExemptMayor’s Youth Employment and Education Program, one of CYC’s programs, is a workforce development program that provides subsidized employment experience and learning activities to over 400 San Francisco youth. The subsidized employment occurs at various nonprofit, private sector and public sector organizations throughout San Francisco. The Mayor’s Youth Employment & Education Program (MYEEP) Project Coordinator will orchestrate an employment-based youth development program for youth ages 14-17 residing or attending school in the Chinatown and North Beach Districts.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preparing program participants for subsidized employment at nonprofit and public sector placementsDeveloping and facilitating workshops to meet program learning objectivesOutreaching, recruiting and certifying youth participantsCompiling monthly reports and correcting timesheets for program participantsChecking in with each individual participant on a regular basisConducting case management and developing individualized transition plansRecruiting worksites to host program participantsDeveloping and maintaining partnerships with worksites, community leaders, and stakeholdersSupervising youth leaders, youth interns, and part-time adult program staffMeeting with staff from collaborating agenciesSupporting program and agency wide eventsOther duties related to program as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1-2 years of youth development experience or experience in nonprofit direct services or related fieldDemonstrate clear and effective facilitation skillsExperience and ability to work with diverse populations of youthBilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is required.Knowledge of the needs of youth involved with the juvenile justice systemExperience building professional relationshipsHave exceptional organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to juggle multiple tasks with competing timelinesCompetency with PC-based software including Microsoft Office and various Adobe softwareKnowledge of youth programs, schools, and resources in San FranciscoCommitment to taking regular Covid-19 health tests as required by program health and safety guidelines and/or current health directives.CYC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any applicant or employee on the basis of race, age, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other basis recognized by federal, state or local law.
