Job DescriptionIn this role, you will collaborate with business partners across the organization to drive decisions aimed at maximizing sales and profitability. You will be responsible for supporting the brand's long-range planning by product category, forecasting, and inventory management processes for all channels. You will be a part of a team that leads pre-season and in-season planning and forecasting processes across channels, partnering closely with Finance, Marketing, and Channel Leads.

The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory planning processes (including open-to-buy, replenishment processes, category planning, and gross margin) for an apparel business or similar. Ability to be flexible, multi-task, comfortable with high SKU counts, and able to prioritize under tight deadlines. It is critical to take initiative, particularly when working cross-departmentally with merchandising, production, finance, and marketing to support our evolving business needs. This individual has a broad skill set including strong Merchandise Planning and Allocation, Category management skills, Analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, and deep curiosity about how things work.

What you'll get to do:

Partner with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Finance, and Channel leaders to identify opportunities and strategic initiatives to drive bottom-line and top-line growth.

Operate as the financial lead for Product Teams across all Channels. This includes key financial metrics, achievement of financial parameters, and leading the business to make profitable merchandise decisions.

Translate Merchandise Financial Plans from an NRF Calendar to a Fiscal Calendar and partner with Finance to reconcile short-term and long-term financial plans.

Oversee total company inventory ownership across all channels to ensure adequate volume/inventory levels to achieve company financial plans.

Ensure that Merchandise Plans align with Financial Forecasts for all channels and implement the most profitable strategies to meet corporate sales and inventory targets while delivering commercial channel business needs.

Recommend and implement technology to support ongoing improvement in process and efficiency based on the demands and growth of the business.

Propose and deliver business recaps and financial strategies in key milestone meetings.

Operate as a supporter and change agent for new systems and processes.

Develop ad-hoc financial models and analysis that clearly quantify the cost/benefit of new product category initiatives and changing trends for all channels.

Initiate analyses with a growth mindset to solve problems, create alternatives, and provide recommendations to leadership based on quantitative and objective analysis.

Establish seasonal financial targets at the brand and channel level that support delivery of the brand's long-term goals.

Take initiative and explore ways to better understand competitors, industry performance, and macroeconomic trends as relevant for development of financial plans.

Participate in projects and assignments of diverse scope.

Develop and implement strategic plans in alignment with the company's vision and objectives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine strategic initiatives.

Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions.

Who you are:

10+ years of analytical experience in Merchandise Planning or Inventory Management.

A hands-on, results-driven mentality combined with a high desire to work strategically. Working knowledge of Retail Metrics (Sales, Inventory, Sell Through, Weeks of Supply, Trend-based forecasting, revenue, and margin), and the ability to develop scenario plans to drive enterprise decisions.

A deep understanding of how to use data to drive decisions.

Comfort with ambiguity and passion/excitement for building new tools and processes.

Proven examples of “thinking outside the box” to improve processes.

Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.

Excited by moving fast, investing deeply in relationships, and working through ambiguity within a startup environment.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is $235,000 per year - $260,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
