Associate Family Law Attorney

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Family Law Attorney to join its team in South Jordan, UT. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or new attorneys eager to establish their careers in family law. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys, gaining hands-on experience while developing strong advocacy skills.Duties:Assist in managing family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, child support, spousal support, and adoption matters.Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.Participate in client consultations, providing legal advice and assistance under the guidance of senior attorneys.Represent clients in court hearings and mediations, initially under the supervision of senior counsel.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and filings.Maintain effective and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Ensure timely completion of all case-related documents and tasks in accordance with legal timelines.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Recent graduate or attorney with less than one year of experience in family law.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.Certifications:Active license to practice law in Utah.Skills:Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.Proficient in drafting legal documents and understanding family law principles.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
