Position Summary:A Rigger is responsible for safely moving, preparing, setting up materials to be moved.
Responsibilities:Comply with (and actively
promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all
accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One
Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.Read specifications and
blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials
required.Set up hoisting equipment
for raising and placing structural steel members. Hoist steel beams,
girders, and columns into place using cranes, using hand signals and tag
lines.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with layout, connecting and rigging.Must be able to choose the
correct rigging equipment for the task.Setting up and operating
pulleys, ropes, winches and other lifting gear.Prior rigging experience to
include knowledge of hand signals, rigging gear, inspection and proper
use.NCCER certification is a plus.Necessary Attributes:Must possess the ability to adapt to different
personalities and management styles.Team player and with good
interpersonal skills.Self-starter with good verbal and written communication
skills.Dedicated and hard
working.
