A growing real estate agency in New Jersey is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a new Property Accountant to their growing team. In this role, the Property Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financials for a portfolio of properties.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 to 3 days a week.***

Responsibilities:

The Senior Property Accountant will:

  • Maintain accounting records and perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Enter, review, and post monthly Accruals
  • Support the Property and Asset Managers in review and preparation of monthly variance reports and billing reports
  • Process all accounts payable for accuracy of G/L codes applied by AP team
  • Monitor the Accounts Receivable process; monitor cash receipts, review and bill recurring charges and billing adjustments
  • Runs recurring monthly rental billing reports to review for accuracy is consistent with monthly budgets
  • Prepare CAM Reconciliations
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of relevant Property Accounting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • Experience with Yardi software
  • Microsoft Excel proficient (V-lookups, Pivot tables and sum-ifs)
  • Solid analytical and mathematical skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
