Job Description:The Role
The Director, Strategy & Analytics reports to the VP, Brokerage Strategy and plays a key role in developing and managing an integrated growth strategy for Fidelity Brokerage, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and projects aligned with the business’s priorities. The Director will be the point person for analytics efforts related to strategy and planning, and will collaborate with key partners, including brokerage group leaders, their strategy leads, Finance, and leaders across various business units.
The Value You Deliver
Lead the analytics efforts to support the development and execution of growth strategies for Fidelity Brokerage
Analyze complex data sets to uncover actionable insights that inform strategic priorities and decision-making processes
Identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, and execute in-depth analyses to support strategic initiatives
Partner cross-functionally with teams inside and outside of Brokerage to generate insights and translate them into strategic actions
Own and monitor key business metrics, providing deep insights into trends and surfacing strategic recommendations
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of strategies, products, and initiatives
Provide thought partnership to cross-functional teams, ensuring data is used thoughtfully and correctly to drive business decisions
Create compelling presentations and materials to effectively communicate data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Support broader planning and business management responsibilities of the Strategy and Planning team during critical times, as needed
The Expertise and Skills You Have
5-8+ years of experience in an analytical role in management consulting, corporate strategy, product, business operations, or finance
MBA degree or equivalent preferred (or similar experience)
Comfortable with ambiguity and can understand sophisticated problems; can identify, analyze, and synthesize trends using data whenever possible
Expertise in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
High intellectual curiosity and analytical orientation, high aptitude for problem solving using both fact-based and hypothesis-driven approaches
Experience leading and contributing to an organization’s top strategic projects including defining actionable strategies to grow businesses; leveraging outside-in perspectives informed by understanding of financial services market and consumer trends
Innovative, forward-thinker who quickly understands the context, and effectively challenges the status quo and drives tough decisions
Executive communication skills and ability to craft compelling, executive level presentations
Strong organizational navigator and teammate who finds common ground and can drive alignment among management, colleagues, and peers using both personal interactions and written communications
