The ideal designer will have a passion for tackling complex problems and designing sophisticated, simple solutions that surprise and delight users. By constantly focusing on the consumer, you'll build products that are not only amazing to look at, but also intuitive and useful to billions of people worldwide.
Description
The App Store Product Design team is looking for an extraordinary hands-on digital product designer to work across all our platforms, including iOS, Mac, TV, and web. You will be responsible for researching, designing, and prototyping new user experiences based on product requirements. Deliverables include design mockups, prototyping, production of visual assets, and documentation required for proper implementation. You flourish in a dynamic, ever-changing, and deadline-driven environment. You are a great collaborator and a phenomenal communicator, able to develop and present design ideas in a large team environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Production, Product Marketing, and Senior Management. You possess extraordinary visual and user interface design skills, as well as user-centered design principles and have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details. Strong communication skills and ability to stay highly organized is essential. Interest in new technologies in AI, AR/VR, web, mobile, and other devices is required. You should be a self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision. The work that you design will be seen and experienced by millions of people around the world, every month.
Bachelor's Degree in Interaction, Graphic Design, Media Arts or equivalent experience4-8 years of design experience working within a technical environmentAn excellent online portfolio showcasing UX, UI, and visual design work for mobile devicesEnthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by group critiqueAbility to communicate design concepts through sketches and wireframesAble to function independently and in a team environment, with excellent collaboration skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills; both written and verbalA passion for Apple, its products, and its customers is a requirement
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in designing iOS app experiences from start to finishUI and visual design work for desktop, TV, web, or Apple Vision is a plusPrevious experience working in an e-commerce environment is a plusHighly skilled in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, and other design toolsAbility to prototype in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AfterEffects, or other toolsA deep understanding of the Apple design aesthetic, UI, and history
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
