Director of Compensation, Market Intelligence, Education and Program Management

RoleAs a Director of Compensation, Market Intelligence for the compensation strategy team, you will lead compensation market data intelligence and communications for the Fidelity Enterprise. Fidelity is an industry leader in market data best practices to ensure our associates are paid competitively to the external market. This position plays a critical leadership role as our compensation team collaborates with senior leaders to analyze market data to inform the appropriate total pay package for our roles at Fidelity. The role is primarily focused on:

Leading Fidelity’s compensation market data end-to-end process and developing cross-enterprise consultative market analytics and insight based on business needs.Being responsible for the design and delivery of Fidelity’s compensation communications and enterprise training programs in partnership with communication, performance, and development teams.Serving point on compliance matters that impact the compensation function by monitoring and responding to pay legislation.Working with Talent Acquisition to enable efficient hiring.

The TeamAs a member of Fidelity’s compensation team, you will work with – and learn from – the best people in the industry as you help drive and support our compensation philosophy and programs.

You will partner across the compensation team and with other HR teams to develop cohesive communications and processes to support Fidelity’s pay programs.You will represent Fidelity externally and manage the relationships with our survey vendors to ensure the market intelligence needs are addressed.The strategy team drives improvement and simplification of Fidelity’s pay programs, and you will lead high priority initiatives of the Compensation function including market data strategy, process, and communications.

The Expertise And Skills You BringBachelor’s or equivalent; 8+ years of experience in compensation and/or finance/business preferred.Deep experience with market data process including benchmarking positions, delivering competitive pay analytics, and building relationships with third party survey vendors.Optimally manage concurrent programs, processes, and initiatives collaborating with and influencing a wide range of partners and have a record of thinking end-to-end about the work to be implemented and delivered in a timely manner.Have expertise with the full spectrum of approaches and tools used for compensation-related market research, modeling, and analysis.Have deep analytical skills with an ability to break down complex questions / data into well-structured analyses and synthesize key points.Validated specialist with Microsoft Excel analysis and experience with compensation applications.Have the expertise, confidence, and skill to develop and deliver formal and informal reports presentations and communications to audiences of all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.Passion for building consultative partnerships and collaborating with compensation leadership, HR, communications, performance, and senior leaders.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
