Graphic Design Specialist

(GDS) specializing in strategic communications to join our team! Under the direct supervision of Strategic Communications Task Lead, this individual contributor role will have responsibility for creating and revising professional-grade graphics, motion graphics, and prototypes in a highly collaborative virtual team environment. This includes converting working drafts of marketing materials for digital, web and print needs using Adobe InDesign and the Adobe Creative Suite. You'll frequently collaborate with team members and leadership alike to ensure internal and external feedback is implemented in a timely manner. You should have experience producing 508-compliant products or be willing to learn quickly. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented role in which your passion for mission-driven work and top-notch graphic design and development knowledge, skills, and abilities will be a great driver of your overall success. Most importantly, you do these things with a constant focus on CATHEXIS' key values of Respect, Engagement, Customer Service, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence (RECITE).Responsibilities:Develop graphics prototypes and supporting marketing materialsUse Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop to produce professional marketing graphics, including but not limited to infographics, one-pagers, and flyersCreate custom motion graphics and assetsAssist in the development of vector graphics and designs that can be embedded in video or standalone assets (e.g., infographics or iconography)Utilize client and internal feedback to quickly create and revise graphics deliverablesCoordinate with managers to create training sessions to cross-train other team members and outside teams in PowerPoint and other graphic design best practicesSupport products for other workstreams, as requiredEnsure alignment of style, branding, and other graphical norms across multiple products and modalities for a consistent product suiteProactively track and communicate project status with supervisor, including potential mitigation strategies for when risks jeopardize deliverable timelinesDeliver all final deliverables and intermediate drafts on time and accuratelyAttend internal coordination meetings as needed to present relevant updates in a factual, concise mannerRequirements:Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required, preferably in graphic design or related fieldAbility to provide portfolio of workMinimum three years' experience designing graphics and using graphic design softwareProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePointExpert in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and the Adobe Creative Suite*Proficient in animation and video production/editing tools.Working familiarity with the use of project management software such as Asana (or Jira, Smart Sheets, etc.)Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust ClearanceSkills:Strong written and oral communication skillsWorks well with tight deadlines and adaptable to evolving prioritiesDynamic team player who is a flexible, self-starter with strong attention to detailFollows established workflow and naming convention proceduresDemonstrates empathy while ensuring that stakeholder requirements are consistently metManages details in deliverable production, customer interaction and action trackingCommunicates with others in an effective and polite mannerAssumes ownership and responsibility for assigned actions and/or tasksGovernment contracting experienceDesired Skills:DoD and VA experience as a contractor or otherwiseCATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with national average market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline.
