Job Description
As a
Senior Payroll Specialist , you will be responsible for paying union and non-union hourly and salary employees across various pay schedules accurately and on time ensuring all payroll and accounting-related tasks are completed by due dates.
This is an
on-site position in
Wilmington, Delaware .

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL;
Process weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls for several manufacturing facilities across the United States including salary employees, union/non-union hourly employees and students; and prepare payroll journal entries by pay periods for all payrolls.
Coordinate, develop, and maintain written documentation regarding payroll procedures and process necessary for training materials.
Assist in creating and maintaining updated SOPs to adhere to policies and regulations.
Manage complicated pay exceptions, bonus and incentive payments, retroactive payments, error resolution and complex problem solving for payroll, time management and financial reporting.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality relative to personal data, compensation data and employee benefits information.
Ensure integrity, consistency, and reliability with regards to information entered in the HRIS system.
Generate various management reports monthly/quarterly e.g. headcount and turnover for Accounting and Plant Management.
Process various remittances – garnishments, union dues, 401K contributions, group insurance invoices, etc.
Provide banking details to MDM team for employee expense reimbursements.
Assist Payroll Manager with year-end balancing and reporting.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
At least 5 years of experience in Payroll processes.
Willingness to obtain CPP certification/designation.
Workday Payroll experience highly preferred.
Practical experience with Kronos time & attendance and third-party payroll systems required (ADP WFN preferred).
Experience with Workday Payroll strongly desired.
Knowledge of government legislation/regulations and benefit administration practices are required.
Previous experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements strongly desired.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to appropriately manage confidential information.
Attention to detail, ability to take initiative, as well as prioritization abilities is required.
