Registered and licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, unit coordinators, nurse practitioners, social workers, occupational therapists, activity coordinators, dietitians and a physician medical director staff the unit.Duties/Responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care to geriatric population that suffers both significant psychiatric and physical co-morbidities.Ensuring that a safe and therapeutic environment exists and is maintained for this population.Safe administration of medication, including a thorough knowledge of psychiatric medications.Collaboration with all members of the interdisciplinary team in order to provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care to both patients and their families.

It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.Minimum Requirements:Current Massachusetts RN LicenseEvidence of Continuing EducationPrevious experience working as a RN required, Med/Surg Nursing Experience preferredAHA BLS required.

Recommended Requirements:Documented Professional Development Activities6-12 Months Charge Nurse ExperienceExperience with Geriatric Psych Population.
