Assistant Underwriter

Tim Parkman, Inc. is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriting Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a service-oriented individual to develop, maintain, and grow relationships with our agents and clients. This position is responsible for all policy transaction processing and support functions for our Personal Lines Underwriting Department.Essential duties of the Personal Lines Underwriter Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:Reviews and processes all policy changes as requested by agents and insureds.Assists Underwriters with renewal processing and follow up requests to agents.Assists Underwriters with inspection review including follow up with agents on hazards identified in the inspection.Monitors policies for recommendation compliance.Communicates with agents and insureds to assist with basic policy questions.Serves as a liaison between various departments to ensure policies are issued and booked correctly.Participates in various projects as needed.Requirements and Qualifications:1 year of insurance experience with an agency or MGA is preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel required.Highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
