The Staff Management | SMX team in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring Food Quality Associates. As a member of this factory team, you will assist in manufacturing chocolate, protein bars, and granola bars. Your pay rate is between $16.35-$20.95/hour and you will receive weekly pay, health benefits, and much more.

This is a full-time position available for the following shift(s): 

  • A Shift: 7am to 3pm
  • B Shift: 3pm to 11pm
  • C Shift: 11pm to 7am

Must have reliable transportation

Pay Rate: $16.35 - $20.95 / hour

Duties:

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collect swab results and enter results into data base
  • Review results to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Provide feedback to operators and manufacturing mangers regarding non-conforming products and packaging
  • Ensure that assigned area is clean at all times following established cleaning and sanitation practices
  • Informs Quality and Production Manager of any food safety problems
  • Meet or exceed established targets
  • Inspect products on the production line to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Conduct regular checks to verify that products are packaged correctly, ensuring proper sealing and accurate labeling.
  • Use scales, calipers, and other measurement tools to confirm that products adhere to specified measurements.
  • Pull samples from the line for detailed inspections, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Record and report any deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Use an iPad or similar digital device to document inspections, input data, and generate reports.

Position Requirements:

  • 6 months experience in food production / manufacturing and warehouse environment required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Proficiency with using an iPad or similar devices for data entry and reporting
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations and standards
  • Comfortable with basic math

Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $16.35 - $20.95 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
