Your role and responsibilities
Distribution Solutions empowers smarter business operations by connecting equipment, software, and services to protect, control, and optimize assets within electrical infrastructures. Across multiple energy-intensive industries, the business provides customers with end-to-end product and service solutions that help ensure the reliability and protection of their electrical infrastructure. The Quality Control Inspector will be required to verify quality work has been completed in functions such as incoming inspection, fabrication, assembly, casting, shipping and/or other areas as assigned.
Qualifications for the role
Inspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformityAssist other QC Personnel, Operators, Assemblers, etc. when quality questions arisePerform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)Train other employees as well as participate in additional training.Inspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defects.Cross Training will be expected and required.Potential of some weekday and/or weekend OT.Experience in the use of various hand tools such as screwdriver crimpers etc. but not limited toPerform other related duties as assigned.1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, assembly or casting preferredExperience using computers Microsoft Office Suite and other web applications.Ability and experience in reading interpreting engineering drawings and other related technical drawings and models.Good written and oral communication skills.Ability and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.Work along of as a member of a teamInitiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detailCandidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United StatesDesired experience in SAP and WindchillAbility to work with teams and deliver feedback to operators concerning identified issues1 year experience in qualityMore about us
