CNC Lathe Setup Technician Responsibilities: - Machine Setup: Set up and prepare CNC lathes for production runs according to specifications. - Tooling: Install and configure cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments on the CNC lathe. - Calibration: Calibrate and adjust machine settings, including speeds, feeds, and offsets. - Program Loading: Load and verify CNC programs, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance. - First Article Inspection: Conduct initial test runs and first article inspections to ensure the machine setup meets quality and specification standards. - Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine setup, tooling, and program errors. - Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and ensure the cleanliness and proper functioning of CNC lathes. - Documentation: Maintain accurate records of setups, tooling configurations, and maintenance activities. commitment to quality and safety. Hours: 7:30 am - 4 pm Pay $27 can vary on experience Location Sylmar required-skills: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred. - Previous experience in CNC machine setup, particularly with lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, knowledge of CNC programming (G-code and M-code) familiarity with precision measuring tools.
