Local ContractDuties:The Registered Nurse - Hospice provides comprehensive, convenient, and high-quality Hospice services to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of adult and geriatric patients with limited life expectancy.
Requirements:Associate’s degree in nursing or related science. Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire. Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire. Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills via phone and face-to-face. Ability to problem-solve and excellent critical thinking skills.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:Current Michigan Registered Nurse license. Valid Michigan Driver’s license. Dependable automobile insured according to State of Michigan requirements.

REQUIRED:Minimum of 2 years hospice experience, BLS certification, current MI RN licensure. Candidate will be working only in the one location. 20 bed hospice facility. Day to day will be providing care to terminally ill patients: giving medication, assisting CNAs with patient care, collaborating with providers, communicating with families. Will pronounce patients at time of death. Perfect candidate will be one that understands the end-of-life process, is comfortable with administering medications for patient comfort, and is comfortable communicating with families about the end-of-life process.
