*1st and 2nd Shift available*Full job descriptionJob Summary:We have developed new techniques and technologies for the emerging Nitinol market. The CNC Machinist will operate computer numerical control machines to fabricate finished medical parts and devices to specifications while holding tolerances +/- .0005. The Machinist loads parts in the machine, cycles machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. This position communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment. This role is for a 2nd shift position, 2pm-10pm. Shift differentiable of 20%.Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment. Selects appropriate settings and adjusts as necessary. Follows established quality and safety standards. Typically requires a high school diploma. Reports to a supervisor. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Typically requires 5 years of related experience.Duties:- Set up and operate CNC machines.- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements- Program CNC machines- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work areaRequirements:- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role (at least 2 years)- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers- Ability to operate various machining equipment including milling machines and lathes- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus- Excellent mathematical skills for performing calculations and measurements accurately
