The firm employs approximately 100 employees globally.Position OverviewThis role is responsible for distribution throughout the U.S., with a focus on the insurance investor market. We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional with direct insurance company relationships, a strong track record of client management and/or capital raising in the private markets, and the ability to effectively communicate an investment strategy to prospective investors with the goal of raising capital. The successful candidate will report to the Head of North America, Investor Partnerships, based in New York and have the following core set of responsibilities:Primary ResponsibilitiesInvestor Prospecting:Develop and help build both existing and prospective insurance company investor relationships and, to a lesser extent, be responsible for covering pensions, endowments, RIAs, family offices, endowments, foundations, fund of funds, asset managers and consultantsUnderstand the different segments of the insurance company industry and investment needs of each segment, including types of fund structuresLeverage existing relationships that would be a suitable fit for firm and strategyGenerate and help manage pipeline of prospective investorsArrange introductory and follow up calls and/or meetings with prospective investorsTrack and help manage prospective investor follow-upMarketing and Communication:Develop an in-depth understanding of the firm, its history, professionals, culture, investment strategy and process, products, track record, portfolios and existing client base and successfully communicate to prospective investorsDevelop a thorough understanding of the marketplace and competitive landscape and successfully communicate to prospective investorsEffectively advocate for the firm articulating its market position, competitive advantages, and value proposition to prospective investorsLead initial presentations to prospective investors independently and/or with senior team membersRelationship Management:Manage ongoing list of outstanding investor inquires, due diligence requests, RFPs and other follow-up, and work with investor relations team to ensure timely responsesTrack all prospective investor progress in Client Relationship Management (CRM) systemCoordinate with and help manage placement agent activity globally
