Manager ICUClick Here to Apply OnlineJob DescriptionLocation: North Shore Medical CenterPosted Date: 9/18/2024Job Type: Full TimeDepartment: 8419.43760 ICUPOSITION SUMMARY:Leads, plans, organizes and directs the services of the Intensive Care Unit; reviews and evaluates administrative and nursing procedures; establishes nursing and unit specific standards and initiates changes as needed; confers with management and supervisory staff to discuss ongoing unit management and patient care.Additional Information Position Qualification: (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities)Strong critical thinking skills & ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environmentThe ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition.Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with othersA year experience in nursing, particularly Telemetry preferredClinical competenceBasic computer knowledgeSuccessful completion of Critical Course preferredGraduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)Required Licenses/Certifications:Current Florida Registered Nurse LicensureCurrent Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification from the American Heart AssociationCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification from the American Heart AssociationBasic arrhythmia skills required prior to starting in the unit, or critical care experienceCommunication Skills:The ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
