Our company, a leading player in the Meat Manufacturing Industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales with a Proven track record selling Animal Protein (Beef/Pork/Chicken). The ideal candidate will have experience in Retail and/or Food Service Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and establishing strategic relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, sales-driven professional who has a deep understanding of retail and/or food service sales and consumer packaged goods (CPG).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities with potential clients in the retail sector.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the retail industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on sales strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Understand market trends, industry challenges, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the retail grocery or CPG industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a track record of successfully closing business deals.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
