Summary

The Division of Pediatric Urology at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time pediatric urology faculty position at CHRISTUS Children's. This position comes with a faculty appointment within the Department of Urology, a competitive salary, and full benefits package. The candidates' credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment.

Responsibilities include admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and treat neonates, children, with congenital anomalies, childhood acquired urologic problems such as tumors and trauma and overlapping problems of adolescence. May provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency consultative call services.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: MD/DO degreeSuccessful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited residency in urology, followed by successful completion of an accredited fellowship in pediatric urology.Minimum Certification/Licenses: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (or eligible for same);Board certification in urology by the American Board of Urology or eligible for same.Experience: Demonstrate current competence and evidence of at least 50 pediatric urological procedures in the past 12 months, reflective of the scope of responsibilities listed above.
