Elmhurst Hospital Center (EHC) is the major tertiary care provider in the borough of Queens. The hospital is comprised of 545 beds and is a Level I Trauma Center, an Emergency Heart Care Station and a 911 Receiving Hospital. It is the premiere health care organization for key areas such as Surgery, Cardiology, Womens Health, Pediatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Renal and Mental Health Services.

Job Description

Under general supervision, serves as a licensed, independent practitioner responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and managing comprehensive health care services in a health care setting. Ensures patient and family centered quality care to improve outcomes and patient experience, in accordance with applicable NYC Health + Hospitals policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations and nursing standards of care.

Minimum Qualifications

A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse issued by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED); andCurrent certificate as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the NYSED; andHolds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Department Preferences

Strongly

prefer National Board Certification in specialty in which you are assigned.
