Basic Function

The Edison, New Jersey (EDO) site has an opportunity for a Logistics - Front Line Leader (FLS)

Position is a critical position of the global catalyst supply chain, interfacing with Manufacturing, Planning, Sales, and Supply Chain functions. The position is the last LYB person responsible for handling catalyst before shipment to distribution hubs and then ultimately customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

On site position (EDO)Reports to the Operations ManagerBuilding ordersArranging logisticsOrdering raw materials and suppliesAssists the Production Manager in monitoring and controlling direct operating costs of the Production Department, operating efficiencies, capital improvements, and preparation of logistics budgets.Anticipates challenges and recommends innovative logistical solutions for complex problems.Delivers GoalZERO performance through strong leadership, employee/contractor involvementPartners with all levels of the manufacturing process to ensure customer satisfactionMust be comfortable in working with a represented workforce.May be asked to supervise represented hourly employees.Min. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GEDAt least 5 years' experience in a plant operations, or technical field within the chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas industryStrong communication skills-both verbally and in writing to effectively work with a diverse set of cross functional groupsDemonstrated ability to supervise and motivate others with strong leadership and teamwork abilities.Demonstrated strong independent decision making skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate, drive improvement in others, delegate and empower others, be a champion of change, problem solve, and have excellent technical orientationComputer skills in applications such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.Must have excellent management /interaction skills to effectively manage daily requirements including customer relations.Preferred Qualifications

Associates Degree in Chemical, Engineering or Technical fieldExperience in the chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas industryThe ability and flexibility to be successful in a high paced, continuous manufacturing operation.
