Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and motivated Permanent Civil Engineer to join our thriving Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land development, expertise in Civil 3D, erosion control, and other facets of civil engineering. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, shaping the built environment for the community's future. The candidate will have the chance to work in a collaborative, innovative, and forward-thinking team environment, contributing to the planning, design, and management of infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop civil engineering projects, focusing on land development, while adhering to established codes and regulations.
- Utilize Civil 3D software for designing and modeling purposes, ensuring accurate and efficient project completion.
- Implement erosion control measures in all relevant projects, ensuring environmental sustainability.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, communicating effectively to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Conduct site inspections and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other), ensuring all projects adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
- Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in the field of civil engineering with a focus on land development.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant software.
- Proven experience in erosion control and a strong understanding of environmental considerations in civil engineering projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work.
