SR Machine Operator/Range Leader

Responsible for the continuing and efficient operation of a Range. Also responsible for training and helping all crew members become more efficient.

• Turn machine on heat it up.
• Ensure process and heat of dryer is correct for pass you’re running.
• Make sure correct latex is used.
• Help foamer set up blades, check Mylar change, if needed.
• Check blade settings, temperature and speed of range.
• Set blade, go immediately to exit end; inspect for dryness, blisters, and appearance of roll; check widths.
• Help Tuber doff roll when needed.
• Prepare next roll to start.
• Take sample to lab to be tested; obtain results to make any adjustments if needed.
•  Prepare next roll to be loaded.
•  Keep up with down time and run sheets.
•  Weigh rolls; make sure #’s are on rolls; tell tuber weights.
•  Line up rolls for each truck load for next pass.
• Assist tuber to set up, adjust knives, and widths on different processes.
•  Complete daily run sheets.
•  Assist to wrap rolls, seam rolls, doff rolls, go to exit end look at each seam.
•  At end of shift turn in downtime, runs, and temperature sheets.
•  Daily Forklift inspect sheets are to be turned in at end of each week.
•  The compound mix log is to be turned in once the tote has finished running.
•  Keep an eye on and change the waste tote when needed.
•  Keep the supervisor informed of any problems pertaining to pumps, accumulator, crew members, seamer, A-frames, streaks, peeling, heavy spots, thick or thin latex or wax etc.…….
• Load & Doff as quickly as possible while being safe this leads to better efficiencies and more profits. Profits lead to TSG being able to do more for the employees.
•  Our supplies we use every day be cautious not to waste such items as, “tape, staples, glue, blue soap, plastic gloves, steel wool etc….
  
•  When you are caught up on your range help other range leaders if you see they need assistance.
• Always keep area clean.
• Perform any other duties asked of you by your supervisors

This job is out on the production floor and subject to that work environment.

This is largely a physical job which requires standing for up to 6 hours, bending, etc…. 

This is a full-time position

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m

to 5 p.m

Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

High School diploma or equivalent
