Are you a seasoned Paralegal with a passion for Estate Administration? Our well-established law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Estate Administration Paralegal. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of estate administration, including probate procedures, trust administration, and estate tax laws.
Responsibilities:
As an Estate Administration Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing drafts of Probate documents for attorneys, including applications, motions, notices, and inventories.
- Filing pleadings and hearing documents in a timely and organized manner.
- Preparing Federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns.
- Preparing estate and trust accountings.
- Meeting with clients to notarize, witness, and sign documents and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assisting in the preparation of Elder Law, Guardianship, and Business Incorporation documents.
- Preparing appropriate release documents for estate distributions and assisting with transfers of estate property to beneficiaries.
- Excelling in managing case files from inception to completion, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of estate administration.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of estate administration paralegal experience.
- A Bachelor's degree or associate degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field is preferred.
- A paralegal certificate from an accredited program is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
- Strong knowledge of probate procedures, trust administration principles, and estate tax laws.
- Experience in preparing drafts of Probate documents for attorneys.
- The ability to file pleadings and hearing documents.
- Experience in preparing Federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns.
- The ability to prepare estate and trust accountings.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet with clients to notarize, witness, and sign documents.
- The ability to assist in preparing Elder Law, Guardianship, and Business Incorporation documents.
- The ability to prepare appropriate release documents for estate distributions and assist with transfers of estate property to beneficiaries.
- The ability to excel in managing case files from inception to completion, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of estate administration.
