Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

SUMMARY:

As our Senior Service Engineer, you will provide technical support for electromechanical Biotech equipment, resolving issues by understanding its design and components. Diagnose problems, replace and upgrade hardware/software, and accurately document services, as well as create and update field service documents.

MUST HAVES:

  • Electromechanical Equipment experience
  • Biotech/ Pharma/ Medical Device experience.
  • Troubleshooting HW and SW issues.

TRAVEL:

  • Travel is up to 50% mostly within Southern CA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform scheduled on-site services such as IQ/OQ, system installation, and preventative maintenance (PM) on PBS bioreactors in the field reliably, promptly, and with proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve in-depth PBS bioreactor hardware/ software-related issues/ questions in the field via calls, e-mails, and on-site visits in a professional manner.
  • Provide necessary training for onboarding of new Service Engineers.
  • Act as a backup internal resource for developing user requirements for product development, communicating feedback from customers to the internal team as applicable.
  • Develop and help maintain field service procedures that pertain to his/ her skill set.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field with 5+ years of work experience at electromechanical equipment manufacturer(s).
  • Hands-on experience working with bioprocess equipment.
  • Solid understanding of bioreactor functions and components.
  • Prior experience leading a team is preferred.
