As a Superintendent, you will be the driving force behind our construction projects, overseeing all activities from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role demands a dynamic individual with a strong background in construction and a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in project management, budgeting, safety management, construction estimating, materials management, and blueprint reading will be essential for your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle including conception, design, construction, and completion
  • Manage project budget, ensuring all work is carried out within financial parameters
  • Coordinate work schedules and supervise construction personnel and subcontractors
  • Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to, promoting a culture of safety within the team
  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with building and safety codes
  • Estimate construction costs and prepare detailed budgets
  • Manage construction materials, ensuring efficient use and timely delivery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications, ensuring all work aligns with design intent
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular project updates
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may affect project timeline or budget
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality are maintained throughout the project

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction management role
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in project management, budgeting, safety management, construction estimating, materials management, and blueprint reading
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficient in construction management software
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to resolve issues and disputes
  • Professional certification in Project Management or Construction Management is a plus.
