We are seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our accounting department. This role is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial growth and stability. The Accounting Manager will be a key player in establishing policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activities.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Conduct monthly and annual close processes, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Manage and maintain real estate accounting, project accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Oversee and manage the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and operations.
  • Utilize NetSuite and Yardi systems for financial management tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement improvements to the existing accounting systems and processes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the accounting team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, General Ledger, Real Estate Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and Yardi systems.
  • Proven experience with accounting operations, including the monthly close process and journal entries.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Solid understanding of project accounting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
