Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects, showcasing your skills and making a significant impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, project management, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, particularly underground projects, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare, review, and submit project submittals, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and in line with project requirements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and other project management tools to plan, monitor, and report on project progress.
  • Coordinate and manage RFIs, ensuring all inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Use mapping and GPS technology to plan and execute construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and promptly addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct site inspections, identifying any potential issues and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Continually monitor project costs, identifying any potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineering role within the construction industry, with a focus on civil and underground construction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and other project management software.
  • Strong experience with mapping and GPS technology.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure all project documents are accurate and complete.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
