Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Specifically they are expanding their millwork team and this role will function in their corporate office and surrounding job site locations near Albuquerque.

Essential Functions

  • Detailed drawing and specification knowledge
  • Consistently work together with estimating team, customers, JSI Self Perform Manager, and subcontractors/suppliers while strictly adhering to defined department best practices and procedures
  • Understand specific operating costs and track changes with the goal to maintain accurate estimate development in line with up to date production and installation rates
  • Work with owners and designers as needed to problem solve/value engineer and develop product designs and solutions that work to fit appropriate cost goals for specific projects
  • Assist in the maintenance and updating of the Jaynes Millwork estimating software
  • Promote innovation while applying vision to develop an ever evolving estimating department
  • Maintain and update a growing customer database with frequent customer outreach to maximize opportunities
  • Batch and organize all relevant documents, takeoffs, sketches and job information to facilitate an effective handoff to PM team, such that all takeoff work and financials are clear and can be used to effectively execute the work.
  • Maintain a commitment to understand and promote leadership development and provide effective influence to all team members and customers
  • Maintain and promote a strict culture of discipline, communication, values, and three phases of quality control
Job Details

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in casework/millwork industry;
  • 1+ years estimating experience and leading teams in the casework/millwork industry;
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with various office software, estimating software, and a basic understanding of millwork assemblies, costs, fabrication, and installation methods;
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize and work under deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities;
  • Excellent writing/editing and architectural and shop drawing reading ability.
