Get ready to bring your technical prowess and passion for machinery to the fore as a Permanent Industrial Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment where you will maintain and repair a wide range of industrial machinery. You will be working on all shifts, ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Mechanic, your responsibilities will extend across various domains, including but not limited to:
- Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines, equipment, and their components to identify faults or malfunctions.
- Conducting repairs or replacements of defective equipment parts.
- Carrying out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
- Diagnosing breakdown problems, replace faulty parts, and ensure equipment is running efficiently.
- Working with specialized equipment such as AC/DC drives, electrical wiring systems, micrometers, calipers, hydraulics, and valves.
- Adhering to safety regulations and ensuring the machinery and work environment is safe.
- Assisting engineers and other professionals in developing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a unique blend of technical skills and experience. The ideal candidate must have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in working with AC/DC drives, electrical wiring systems, micrometers, calipers, hydraulics, and valves.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues with industrial machinery and equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime if required.
- A high degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative problem-solving and eagerness to learn and apply new skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- An associate degree or completed apprenticeship in industrial machinery maintenance or any other related field.
