Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly driven Permanent Financial Analyst to join our team. This role will play a critical part in our company's financial management, which includes financial planning, managing project budgets, and making strategic recommendations based on financial research and analysis. This role is crucial to our Engineering team’s success and will play a significant part in driving the financial planning of our company. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of ledger management and will be responsible for enhancing profitability and enabling the team to meet its financial goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
  2. Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  3. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  4. Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  5. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  6. Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  7. Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  8. Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
  9. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  10. Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
  11. Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  12. Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of business finance or other relevant experience.
  3. High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
  4. Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
  5. Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
  6. Good business acumen.
  7. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  8. Experience with ledger and database management.
  9. Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  11. Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
  12. Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills.
  13. Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
  14. Experience with enterprise resource planning and enterprise performance management systems is a plus.
