We provide comprehensive, quality, and affordable healthcare programs and services and have been a Federally Qualified Health Center since 2008. We also provide pharmacy, dentistry, and pediatrics services to our 19,000-plus community members.

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in the healthcare industry. The CFO will play a critical role in the strategic decision-making processes as we continue to enhance our quality programming and build capacity. Job Details

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
  2. Support the CEO in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
  3. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, regulatory requirements, and audit requirements.
  4. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
  5. Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
  6. Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
  7. Implement, manage, and maintain the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
  8. Oversee and ensure the organization's revenue cycle is managed effectively to maintain financial stability.
  9. Develop and implement financial management strategies and practices that enhance operational efficiency.
  10. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies across the organization.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of a B.A. in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of overall professional experience; ideally 6+ years of broad financial experience, including gathering and evaluating financial information and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  3. Experience working in a non-profit or not-for-profit organization is a must.
  4. Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
  5. Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  6. Deep knowledge and understanding of the Office of Management and Budget Circular A133 audit.
  7. Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  8. Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
  9. Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  10. Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
  11. Experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
  12. Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the organization's mission.
